Gail Wittig, Broker – Associate, Five Star Real Estate Agent
With over 38 years in the field, real estate professional Gail Wittig has cultivated a reputation as a force to be reckoned with in the local luxury sector. The former schoolteacher, mortgage broker and lifelong Sarasota resident launched her career in new home sales three decades ago, and has found long-term success in representing buyers and sellers of some of the region’s most elegant and upscale properties.
Early on, Gail’s tenacity and professionalism attracted the attention of broker Michael Saunders, who offered her a position in her then start-up firm. “I connected with Michael immediately,” recalls Gail. “She is a very dynamic woman, highly motivated and with a real understanding of the industry. Michael remains very active in the company, traveling across the United States and abroad in search of new ideas and trends to share with us.”
Her love of the business, and her knack for exceptional customer care have earned Gail recognition as one of the region’s most accomplished luxury real estate agents. Since restructuring her team and joining forces with her son, Ian Addy, Gail continues to set the standard for excellence. Gail’s background includes a Bachelor of Arts degree in Education from the University of Florida, a Florida Real Estate Broker’s License acquired in 1982 and she previously co-owned a local mortgage company. She was also involved in many successful projects from the ground up and as an onsite sales agent with properties such as Longboat Key Club & Resort, L’Ambiance, Sanctuary, The Oaks, Promenade, Marina Bay, Sabal Cove, Weston Point, Mount Vernon, Our House at the Beach, Winding Oaks and Lawrence Point, which gives her unparalleled, intimate knowledge of these properties. When not selling real estate, Gail enjoys hosting large dinner parties for friends and family, boating and traveling abroad.
Ian Addy, MBA, PA – Realtor
As a second generation realtor and Sarasota native, Ian brings his vast knowledge about the area and experience to every real estate transaction. With an emphasis on finance and real estate he graduated Cum Laude from the University of Florida and started his career as a financial adviser with Merrill Lynch. While at Merrill Lynch Ian generated over $186,000 in revenue through hosting seminars and cold calling placing him within the top quarter of the firm. Deciding to change gears and go into the family business, real estate, Ian returned to his alma mater. After earning his MBA he joined Smith and Associates as a New Home Sales Associate for several high-rise developments on the Gulf Coast. He thrived earning sales in excess of $20,000,000 per year for an impressive four consecutive years. His undergraduate and MBA level coursework has unequivocally enhanced his ability to successfully achieve prominence in the industry.
Like his mother, Ian caught the attention of Michael Saunders who saw an opportunity to join forces in marketing and selling Bleu Claire, an elegant beachfront condominium community located on Longboat Key. Now part of the Addy Wittig Team, Ian’s analytical strength and customer service focus is an immeasurable part of the team’s overall success. A testament to this success is the teams’ most recent top honor awarded within Michael Saunders & Company of the 2018 Top Team Longboat Key for the ninth year in a row.
When relaxing, Ian enjoys spending time with friends and family. He loves boating on Sarasota’s amazing waterways.
Angela Adams – Realtor, Business Manager
Already at home in the real estate industry, Angela is continuing her tenure at Michael Saunders & Company where she previously worked as the executive assistant to President, Drayton Saunders. With a passion for helping others accomplish their goals, Angela is delighted to be working with The Addy Wittig Team, combining her intrinsic knowledge of the region with her professional, customer-oriented approach. Specializing in Longboat Key and Sarasota, Angela is known for her dependability and excellent communication, working to educate buyers and sellers on the process and always keeping them informed.
With experience behind-the-scenes at Michael Saunders & Company, Angela has a unique understanding of all facets of the business. She initially joined the company in 2002 as part of the MSC Accounting division and also worked with MSC Title. Angela eventually transitioned to the corporate arm, assisting Drayton in managing the various company divisions as well as overseeing the MSC Foundation.
Also experienced in marketing, Angela spent five years in the industry serving over 1,200 clients in design, sales and customer service. Her well-rounded foundation in business, accounting, and marketing makes her an invaluable resource for customers real estate goals as they navigate the Sarasota real estate market.
Angela is originally from New Hampshire but has lived in Sarasota for over twenty years. Outside of real estate, she was the founder of Create U DIY Workshop on Fruitville Road. Her husband, Jimmy, is a Sarasota County Deputy and together they have two sons, Vincent and Alexander.
Heather Russell – Marketing Manager
With over 16 years of real estate experience, Heather brings to our team a wealth of leading edge marketing expertise. Originally from Burlington, Vermont, Heather started her real estate experience as a Marketing Assistant with MaceRich at a commercial mall property in downtown Burlington.
Heather moved to Sarasota in August of 2000 to hone her skills further as the Marketing Director for Southgate Plaza under Jones Lang LaSalle Group’s retail property management division. After Westfield Corp. purchased both Southgate and Sarasota Square Malls, Heather flexed her marketing muscle as the Senior Marketing Director of both properties and immersed herself in community relations, online/print branding campaigns and really developed the tools that now help her expose your property to the real estate market locally and internationally.
Heather enjoys spending time with her daughter, listening to live music, watching Patriots football and traveling whenever possible.
